Do the pulleys come off the harmonic balancer?

check the pulley if it wobbles alot replac it. or,
bolt may be comeing loose
put red locktight on the bolt adn torque it to 76 foot pounds

SOURCE: need to tighten a serpentine belt on a 2001 chevy
that is your tensioner pully and it very well may be going bad new one isnt very expensive and can be easily removed with a socket wrench and replaced please be sure to make a diagram of the serpentine belt before you remove so that you will rember how it goes back on

Heat the nut thats what we do in the shop and dont forget to use anti-seize when putting the bolts back in
SOURCE: NEED THE BELT ROUTING DIAGRAM
1. a/c comp to water pump.
2. alt to p/s pump.
3. water pump, crankshaft, p/s pump.
4. water pump, crankshaft, idler.
