1995 Plymouth Neon Running rough now wont start

I changed the oil and the air filter and now the car was running very rough and seemed like all the cylinders were not working. Now the neon will not run, I am wondering if the engine is shot. It has 199000 miles and has been a good car. Any suggestions??

Rough idle when warm , and oil light comes on only when outside temps are 75 or above and engine is up to temp . other than that the car runs great it has 198000 miles on it.

It could be, but first you might want to run a onboard dianostic. turn your key on and off (not to run position) 3 times, on the third time leave the key on your engine light will blink out codes.
(like for 12 it will blink once pause then blink 2 more times.) try this then let me know what the code is.
hope this helps

Hesatation and rough idle

Hi, your Car needs a tune up. Have the spark plugs replaced a fuel injector cleaner added to the fuel tank and replace the air filter if it needs it. Change the oil and filter at least every 5,000 miles also. I believe by having these services done your rough run will be gone...

Have a 2000 Plymouth neon (4 cyl, 2.0) with loss of power and backfire , car has just been tuned up (plugs, wires, throttle body cleaned, air filter, oil change). Just changed the ignition coil today power...

Did this backfiring start after the tune-up? If yes, check firing order of plug wires. Also , if you paid someone to do this, have you consulted with them regarding the way the vehicle is running?

Oil light on; running rough; sputtering and wants to stall when stepping on gas

sounds like u have either low oil in engine or a faulty oil pressure switch, the running rough would be caused from a number of reasons, plugged air filter or a plugged fuel filter. hope this will help!!!

2001 plymouth neon oil light keeps blinling on and off

You have an oil leak. From where is the question. On most Dodge products, the oil pressure sensor is behind the oil filter. Petroleum products are solvents, however mild. This affects gaskets, wires, hoses, you name it. Have someone check the wires on the oil pressure sensor. Also see if it is screwed in tight. Neons are buzzy little engines and tend to have minor stuff wiggle loose from time to time. There is the possibility of having a "Double Gasket" on the oil filter which would cause the oil to leak and pressure to drop at lower RPMs. If all of that checks out, then you might need a new oil pump.

Chrysler neon car is running rough

Try cleaning out your intake (get some stp throttle body cleaner) try running some fuel cleaner through you gas tank, check you air filter. maybe you could replace your spark plugs and wires. these are just a couple of things I could think of that could cause it.
