SOURCE: Tachometer stopped working completely but all

It's very UNLIKELY the jumpstart had anything to do with it, unless you accidentally connected the battery in 'reverse polarity', which causes the electrical system voltages to 'DROP' instantaneously to near zero volts and create 'current spiking' in all active circuits. Nevertheless, the microcomp in the instrument cluster which drives the TACH has protective curcuits. The only solutions are to eliminate any problems in the wiring between the ECM/PCM and the instrument cluster, and bench test the tach to determine if it's working properly. Process of elimination - if wiring is ok and the Tach is ok, then the problem is in the ECM/PCM.

Electrical problems with my 96 honda accord

This happens because the removal of the current to the computer or CPU gets de-programed. You may be able to solve the problem (if it comes up gain ) by disconnecting the negative cable with the engine off. Then renstalling it back after a minute. This will reprogram the computer.

1999 Mercury Radio don't turn on.

check for a accesories fuse if that is not blown or is non existent then you might have to pull your raido out and check the fuse that should be on the wire. by plugging in your emergency battery charging device you might have shorted out and popped the fuse on the raido. if none of this is the problem then it may possibly be that your "power" wire might have melted when the battery charger device shorted the circuit.

have a nice day and a nice year and i hope this fixes your problem.

Light out on toyota Sienna radio

FIXED MINE! My 2000 Sienna XLE had the same problem with the lights not working. They would flicker on once in a while. I took off the face plate, cleaned the radio with a "can of air" to remove any dust, put electrical grease on the face plate contacts and the plugs on the back of the radio. Reassembled and the lights worked better, but dim and flickered off a bit. Knocked on it a few times on the side to get those contacts to work better and it is now working. My guess is the contacts on the faceplate were not making good contact. If I had to do it again, I would pull on and off the face plate a few times after installing the electrical grease to help loosen up any corrosion for a better connection. That would probably eliminate the need to beat on the side of the radio after reassembling. This fixed mine. Hope it works for you.
