I just don't get why that doesn't work right in the first place. ... I have 99 Yukon that has a problem with the front air. .... $55,000 for my GMC, I guess expecting cold air when we push A/C and getting 90 degree blast ... 2001 Yukon XL 1500 Front heat & air fine, rear ac blows hot as if heater is on in all settings. add 134-a and see if compressor kicks on.

look around for "free AC check" at various shops.

Sorry, it can be a few different things.

I am having similiar problems with my 06 Denali. Mine does the same thing but also does not blow hot air when in idle.

Does the front blow cold ? Diagnosing rear problems
Taking to a qualified repair shop an having it diagnosed would be your best bet >

ac on a 2005 gmc yukon not blowing and cant here compressor the rear ac of the truck is working fine, are there any fuses i can check?

check youer air shocks for leakes and rear hight sensor

Check Fuse #3 in the under hood fuse block it is the only common connection I can make.

Check the dash fan control switch. It can be purchased separate from the whole cluster for under twenty dollars. The instrument panel cover comes off gently by hand with the tilt steering in the down position. You have to then unplug the electrical plugs to get it out of the way. The heater ac control panel then comes out by hand far enough to unscrew the heater fan control from the back. Auto Zone may have this part and have the step by step instruction to get the job done if needed. chk the fan speed resistors mounted in the fan housing. You should be able to see the wires going into the box with 2 screws holding the resistors in place. Good Luck.

A BROKEN HANDLE ASSEMBLY IS QUITE COMMON.THEY ARE VERY EASY TO REPLACE.CALL THE DEALER AND GET ONE.
