BRAKES GETTING STIFF!

I have a 1996 Toyota T-100 v6 3.4 liter that had its check engine light on. My buddy hooked a scanner up to it and it said it was cyl#3. So my plugs were froze in place (4 out of 6), I used a spray lubricant and cleaner (Sea Foam Deep Creep). I got the plugs out, put in new ones, check engine light turned off and check engine light also shut off. I was backing up and my brakes got stiff, I was unable to stop... What do you think happened?

How do i preform a Distributor resistance check / ignition coil resistance check.. on 1996 toyota tacoma 4x4 2.7 liter 4 cyl. engine truck is getting fire/fuel no start.

An engine needs 3 things to run, Spark, Fuel, & Compression. If you have verified that you have spark at the plugs, and fuel is making it into the cylinder, and the engine has the proper amount of compression to run... these also have to happen in the correct time. Make sure your timing marks all line up.

Toyota cavalier 1996 the abs light, how?

Toyota cavalier??? Chevy tacoma???
You might have a wheel sensor issue (part of the wheel bearing assembly) It tell the abs computer the wheel speed, and if one is bad, it will error the abs, and turn the light on. You can get this checked with an abs scanner hooked up, or ohm out all of your speed sensors with a meter.

My check engine light keeps blinking everytime i put my feet on the gas

The check engine light means that something is out of specifications on one of the sensors.
For instance, if the throttle position sensor was bad, then the light would go on indicating that it was getting a signal inconsistant with expected data in the computer.

I would have the car scanned with an OBD-II Scanner that can give a code that tells what system to look at.

OBD-II Scanners work on cars 1996 and up so yours should have that system.

One can get a scanner from Sears or Walmart for under $100 that can do this for you.
Or, one can go to Autozone or Advance Auto and get it scanned for free, for driveability issues.

Good luck on this diagnosis.

How do i get the abs traction control and check engine light off on my 1999 cadillac

You will need to hook the vehicle up to a OBD II scanner and see what code the check engine light is throwing. Your mechanic will help you with this diagnosis and also he can use the scanner tool to shut off the check engine light.. The ABS light indicates a problem with the ABS system and as such the brakes will operate as standard brakes only, NOT ABS... This also your mechanic can help you with to figure out your best course of action.

My 96 t100 brake pedal just became very stiff and the check engine light came on (refrencing a code of a possible vacumm leak)any ideas?

Hi:
You have a vacuum leak for sure. It could be in the power brake booster, or the vacuum hose that feeds it. The reason your brakes got stiff is you lost your power brakes, so your next thing to do is to try to find your leak!
