I have a 6 cyl. 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee.....I bought it used last year and it had been running fine up until a month ago. After using the air vents through the air conditioning unit .....the next time I started the truck, it began to starting running rough and the check engine now stays on. I was able to check the error codes from using the key cycle method and I received error codes 12, 27 and ended with 55. I did removed the negative battery cable from the battery a short time ago....which would cause the error code 12. But error code 27 is described as injector # driver does not respond properly to the control signal......I am not sure what this means or how to correct this.....has anyone else experienced this error?
Adding If you are getting correct pulses to the injectors, you can try 3oz of acetone and 1oz of marvel oil to each 10 gal of gas your fuel for the next few fill-ups...this will safely clean injector nozzles, providing they aren't worn out or internally binding.Your injectors are triggered by the computer, so check the plugs and wiring to make sure nothing is loose or shorting. There is much more to this, but it's a good place to begin.
