I recently took my 01 Montero Sport to a shop replacing the transmisssion and they informed me that the codes 421 cat and another a egr code.. I took it to another place telling them i need to know which cat is bad.. and they said front passenger side.
I took it to another place this morning to fix the cat and they said they dont even get a 421 cat code. They are getting a Egr code and another Code I forget the name but it starts with a T...>(?)
why are these places giving me all different results?
The check engine light has been on in my vehicle for a few months now and Im just trying to get it fixed.
The Cat code could have cleared itself if the computer doesn't detect a problem anymore. Fix the EGR problem as it is still active.
