Rusrty Water leak under steering wheel

I have a 2000 C200 Mercedes Elegance automatic. I have noticed rusty water leak from under the steering wheel falling on top of my left foot recently when driving. The radiator sign has come on a few times and I suspect that the water leak is connected to water loss from the radiator.
How can the leak be fixed . Is it a major repair please help?

If it is your rad some rad weld will give you a temporary fix and tell you if the two things are connected. Rad weld is available from halfords or similar DIY car repair places.

If the rusty water you are seeing inside the car is antifreeze (has an oily feel to it) the only way it can leak inside the passenger compartment is through the heater core (big job). If the coolant in your radiator is rusty, the rust can build up at the bottom of the radiator and cause a lack of cooling which may result in overheat or hotter than normal operation. You need to flush the system out and refill with clean coolant. If the stuff dripping on your foot looks more like antifreeze after this, you have the option of adding some cooling system sealer or actually changing the leaking core. (or, blocking it off with a bypass 'till you fix it) If the underdash leak turns out to be water, it could be something simple like a blocked condensation tube that is allowing condensation from the air conditioner to build up inside the heater box (look for a short hose stub on the firewall usually on the passenger side about even with the bottom of the heater inside the car. Unblock it and the drip will disappear!

Water entering 03 mercedes e500

I have had many water leak problems with my 2005 e320. My first experience with this, after a decent amount of rain, water would begin leaking in from the headliner. Originally when bringing it into the dealer, they said that leaves and debris wash down into the body of the car and block the drain holes which are located under the wheel well covers.

Every year, I have taken off the front wheels, removed the wheel well covers and run a hose on the windshield while using something like a coat hanger to ream the debris from the drain holes. This seemed to work somewhat until this last year when there was no debris in the holes, yet I was still having water leaking from the headliner.

I brought the the car to a knowledgable Mercedes tech and he found a repair notice bulletin in the Mercedes database stating they have found that the gasket sealing the roof has been found to have not been appropriately compressed when the car was manufactured. I took it in to a dealership and shared the bulletin and asked them to verify if this was the problem I had. They said it was and the fix required them to completely removed the headliner and replace the gasket to the tune of $2000.

This being a mini factors defect, I think Mercedes should cover the repair, but have not yet addressed it to the manufacturer.

Shortly after this event, I began receiving an error on the heads up display that was found to be created by a leak from the antenna and third brake light bar located in the trunk. I fixed these myself with $3 of silicon instead of paying the $730 the dealer wanted.

My c200 year 2000 got problem with horn, i just went to service my car after that i switch on my car the horn swtich on automatically and non stop ,after awhile, my mechanic fix again and now no more

Often we find that the horn pad becomes loose and requires adjustment, you need to take it to a mechanic to be adjusted, they need to remove the air bag and adjust the spring loaded screws, that should fix your horn, I doubt it has anything to do with your air conditioning repair

I have a Mercedes benz, C200, 1996, Elegance. It vibtrates on reverse gear. All other gears are okay

If its a standard transmission its likely a bearing called the pilot bearing . Its a needle bearing that fits into the flywheel and the transmission shaft fits into it .If its worn the transmission will jump in reverse move up and down on the rubber mount . Or if its an automatic then its likely the rubber mount it self or a motor mount witch is also a rubber mount there is 2 on the motor and 1 on the trany

Radiator water level keeps on droping

You coolant system needs to be pressure tested to determine a possible leak or intake gasket problem. The radiator and reservoir caps as well.
If that all checks out ok...then a cylinder compression leakdown test is advised.
Good luck...i hope this helps..please rate me a fixya
