If you go on the net and google the code theres loads of info on the Lexus forums about that particular error code it sounds like an easy fix

Go onto google.Type in the code end the model of your car.There will be sites on there what will tell you,Exacly what that code is about. I have had verry good luck that way. Since someone waled off with my code manaul.
Code 731 is for the computer thinks the ratio is wrong for first gear, and code 715 is for a problem with the input speed sensor. Code 715 could cause code 731. Someone would need to check the sensor and possibly replace it.
