The factory alarm is a content alarm. It looks to see if a door is opened without being disarmed by using the key or the fob. Most likely cause is a door latch assembly that is malfunctioning and sending a false signal triggering the alarm. As a side note: If there is an aftermarket alarm installed, that's another issue and should be taken to an alarm installer for diagnosis.

There should be no reason why it will not work if you have the full wire harness for the 2001 engine the only thing might be you will have to fab motor and trans mounts, possible diff plugins for the dash but it should work

Alarm going off randomly

yes in the box of control see the diagram attached, there are small switch, that you adjust the sensitivy. and clean it with contacts cleaner.

There is a reason and that is that one of the door ajar sensors is defective most likely. To determine which sensor is the problem you must have the dealer scan the system ans be able to duplicate the problem.

Ok i have a 2001 chevy S10 pickup and for awhile now the battery volts drop while im driving if i turn my blinker on the needle gos up and down with every click iv checked the battery altinator and starter...

Make sure the alternater belt is the correct tension....If its been recently replaced, it may have been a size too big. Have you also had the regulator checked for output?

Hello, I had the same problem with my 2001 Maxima. The dealer suggested new key fobs, but the eventual fix was the car battery. When the battery is on the way out, the voltage drop is enough to set it off, just as it would if there was a voltage spike when someone breaks in. I have no problems now!
