id buy over the counter at NAPA, good parts (no chin@ junk)

Looking for engine manual for TOYOTA 1600 16 VALVE 4AGE Called RM-163E and published in 1989

You can get the original Toyota dealer service manual from faxonautoliterature.com. This will have all the info you would need to work on your engine as well as the rest of the car. I have used them before and had excellent service. Hope this helps.

When I attempt to start my 89 jeep cherokee, it only makes a clicking noise, near the starter relay. Then occasionally it will try to turn over, but makes a grinding noise near the starter.

try to jump start it if it starts its the battery,if it doesnt than it time to remove the starter and go have it tested, while its out look for any worn teeth on the flywheel and starter solenoid teeth also.if starter comes back ok then look at all the cables, look for corrosion as it can hide under the wire sheilding.
