Hi Ravi,

yes when you connected the + wire to battery it wont turn off by using ac switch.
please un do the thing you done.
i think the problem is your system is out of gas or gas pressure drops required level.or bad timer relay unit .
the system has pressure cut out and if you are out of gas it shuts down the compressor and it is safty for compressor too.

regards,
nuwan

Testimonial: "Thank you for your response. I undo the thing.I have checked the gas level by the mechanic. The gas level is ok.The compressor is switching on and switching off if I remove and reinsert the AC output relay. there is no loose connection. The relay is working perfectly. My radiator fan is statarting immidiately when the engine starts even the ac is in off position. The radiator fan is stopping after sometime and restarting before the hot and cold meter not reaching the near the centre point. the metre shouws 1by 4th of the reading when the radiator fan starts. is there any connection to radator fan and the compressor."

Never just replace any item because someone suggested it may have failed. Before replacing anything, you need to check each item for any signs it's bad. In addition to what I mentioned, the blower motor itself can also cause a problem if it is worn out and is drawing too much amperage to operate. If the blower makes any noise or the wiring becomes warmer than it should be after replacing any damaged parts, look at the motor. Bad motor ground can cause problems as well so check that too.

SOURCE: Ac compressor wont kick on when running air Full

It could be the fuse, climate control, switch, or relay.
If you check at the switch, that will also tell you if the fuse might be bad.
Then if you check at the relay, that will tell you if the climate control is bad.

Does the system have a leak? If it does, then the computer might have set a low freon code that usually does not turn on the check engine light by itself. If this occurs, the code will have to be erased before the compressor will run. The computer does this in order to protect the compressor so that it cannot run without enough freon in the system. Once you correct the amount of freon in the system (if it needs it), reset the system and see if the compressor will run. Some parts stores have the ability to erase codes and will usually do it for free. I hope this solves your problem. It's definitely not good to have AC problems this time of year. Thanks for trying Fixya.com.

2006 Lincoln Navigator. What wire is on the A/C compressor pulley and if cut can stop the truck starting?

It shouldn't do, but that vehicle has so many modules and sensors even for AC and heating. You will need a mobile auto electrician. You should never cut wires, just remove connectors and tape them up. If you cut the wires with the battery connected, the cutting may have shorted something. If you disconnected the battery the security system needs resetting.

2010 Ford Escape had it diagnosed by someone I think knows about AC. He says no ON getting to MAX AC button. Any quick fix he thought he may be able to put a toggle and wire?

Why not get it fixed correctly? The max AC activates the compressor but also changes the setting on where the air comes from so that it recirculates. The AC also runs when the defrost is set to on. So it you are having a control issue, get the proper control installed.

Is the clutch on compressor working? There is a low pressure swith on the receiver ( a cylinder looking thing under the hood the size of a thermos bottle). If you unplug it and get a jumper wire....jump the wires inside the plug leading TO the receiver. If the compressor clutch pulls in then you need it charged.

disconnect the wire at the compressor to check that the clutch is releasing, then with a test light check to see if power is present when it is switched on and no power when off.

AC Compressor clicks

The noise is the clutch on the front of the AC Compressor. This is a common problem on late ninety's Doge Rams. The clutch is inside the AC pulley. It is electronically controlled. Their are two wires coming off the AC compressor near the pulley. Follow these two wires and you will find a wiring harness connector that you can pull apart. Disconnecting this connector will stop the clutch from activating, saving you a little bit of gas too. But the AC will not work while these two wires are disconnected. I disconnect these for the winter to save on gas and noise. I don't know what causes these to activate so much.
