Question about Cars & Trucks
THE CAR turns over and over, wont start not a peep from the motor, could it be t fuel pump.
Could be a fuel pump or a fuel regulator or a cam shaft belt broken or an immobiliser not operating or a flat key battery or an empty fuel tank or 100 other things. When you have a problem the first thing is to run the fault codes to get the recorded faults from the CPU and then you will know exactly in what areas you have to look. yes the fuel pump is running, you know because when you put the key up and ready to start you can hear it. I know just what you are talking about I have had that same problem. It is about a $4,00 part should not be more then $10.00. So open the hood and then go to the fuse box you will want to change the fuel pump relay that is in the middle of power point and pcm power relay. Also there is another that has to do with the fuel and that is called fuel system this part is located on the right side of the fuse box and the other is on the left.
I hope that you have every thing work out for you please let me know what happens I hope it works out well.

SOURCE: truck won't start
if you can hear the pump working the first thing I would do is ask your self when was last time fuel filter was changed and you gave it a good tune up and replaced the drive belt

SOURCE: 1991 ford ranger wont start
I do believe the FORD is located under ther hood either on the firewall or on L/S wheel housing. Have encountered many , many faulty control modules. There came a time if you came across a Ford product with a no start, you automatically suspected it, and 90% of the time you were right.
