I have a infiniti G35 and the car alarm goes off for no reason I have the same problem. Car just started to make the horn noises. 1 second apart. I can start the car, but you can hear the clicking of the horn sound still. when i try to unlock the car with the key, it locks itself right away. i then realized that my spare key was in the pants that was put in the washer. not sure if this is why the alarm went off. I changed batteries on the key, but the alarm still goes off. only way to stop it was to take the batter out of that key. any ideas????

Hi, on most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for at 6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag light system. When the light is on (or the tone is sounding), the airbag will NOT deploy, even in an accident.

The flashing light on your car is telling there is a problem.

This is a little easier
To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away
Sounds pretty simple. If your starter is not at fault. you may want to check the alternator. If the reason for the battery change originally was due to the battery dying then the alternator could be the culprit.
If you can turn off the internal ultrasonic sensors (many cars allow this so that pets can be left in a car) it may solve the problem. If you can't winding a window down a little sometimes will help
