Cruise control problems

cruise controls are governed by 5 settings and sensors
one is engine rpms
vehicle road speed ,( manual transmission will not activate under 20 klms /hr
brake pedal switch
clutch pedal switch ( VSS if auto)
off/on switch control
any one of these not lined up will not allow the cruise control to work

Sounds like 2nd gear in the transmission is slipping. Cars usually shift at 15-20 mph from first to 2nd. First check the trans fluid.

It sounds to me like a problem with cruise control? Turn it off and/or unhook it, drive it a bit and see if accelerating problem goes away? If it does, you need to troubleshoot the cruise control. Any applicable trouble codes?
That sounds dangerous to me, I'd disable the cruise control till you find the problem.

Sounds like the Throttle Plate is sticking

You were fooled into changing the TPS because of the code

Not the way you diagnose vehicle issues

You find out why a sensor--- good or bad set the code

Get some CRC Throttle Body Cleaner & follow the instructions

Don't need much sprayed around the throttle plate

Then have someone step on gas pedal to confirm success

May need the key on

Your low input is the throttle not returning to home position

Almost like the sensor was telling you what was wrong

Fun stuff isn't it & not easy to understand

Brake switch is designed to shut cruise off when brake pedal applied, sounds like a defective brake switch, because when she applied the brakes it's supposed to cut power to cruise module, so either that is problem or your throttle cable had iced up and or both

sounds like the torque converter to me maybe a loose flywheel .

Sounds like your clock spring may be going bad. The blinking cruise control symbol is a warning that you are traveling at a high speed. That is nothing to really worry about.

Never changed the fluid did you?

check to make sure you don't have a vacuum leak to the cruise system. sounds like it is loosing vacuum and taking a while to build up.
