Power window motor replacement. window in down position

make sure driver side power window master not lock out.problem could be power window motor regulator.

You have to remove the inner door panel to
access the window regulator

You remove the regulator & then the motor from it

You Tube Video will provide a visual of several
similar window motor replacement jobs

Go there-- enter your car,question ,details,etc--- then move
around the site to watch various things

It can be issue with motor itself.If its not going up,then how its working down.But still it feels like weak window motor or is issue with power window switch.Get the voltage tested at switch and motor.Also try another working window motor at not working window side.

sometimes if you hold the window switch up and slam the door it will jar the motor and will go up

Take a test light to the motor connector and probe both wires and see if you have power on both sides. First press the botton up if power press down. if you have power than your window motor is bad or your elect repair is bad.leave comment.

ford has an advantage and a curse to thier window buttons. you can disassemble and clean the contacts(I would have a student with electrical background do this) then reassemble it carefully and it will work if contact points are not fried.

Sounds like the gear drive in the small electric motor that moves the window up and down has broken. You will need to replace the electric motor. You can't just buy the gear for it unfortunately.

Wil it work at the door switch or not at either switch? If not make sure you have power and ground to the motor in up and down positions. if so suspect the motor.Also the cable operated regulators break and will not let the window go up or down

while holding the switch in the up position, bang on the middle part of the door panel, if the motor is stuck then this will usually unstick it. but if motor is running then you will need a new window regulator.

You have to drill a hole in the sheet metal after you pull off the door panel. There is a dimple where the hole should be drilled. Make sure the hole you drill is big enough to fit the socket. I don't know why ford deigned it like this.
