SOURCE: FAILURE OF RADIATOR COOLING FAN

The cooling fan on my 1997 Honda Accord comes on every time that I stop the engine. I had
the radiator replaced in 2006. Additionally, I had the radiator flushed last year(07) and this year. I also checked the fluid level and it is fine..When the fan is running the temperature is at normal and not running hot..

SOURCE: my radiator fan stopped working

It sounds like your thermostat is shot. If you have an automatic your you may want to check the lines running into the trany...They can all work together.

SOURCE: 96 Accord Ex overheating

Based on the info you provided, this appears to be a classic radiator problem. The tiny coolant passages in the radiator are clogged, and are not allowing coolant to flow thru to let the fans do their work.

My 92 RS Cavalier is loosing water fast/overheating/ heater fan does not blow and I am not sure what parts I will need for the fix..... just the pump or the hoses and clamps. Also are these two problems...

If the hoses, radiator, thermostat, radiator, and water pump are working properly and the overheating is being caused by the cooling fan not operating, then I would check the relay for the cooling fan with a multimeter. If it is ok, I would look at the coolant temperature sensor. Hope this helped.

1995 Z28 overheating and loosing power

It sounds like your cooling system is becoming clogged with debris. Flush your radiator, replace the temperature sensor and the thermostat. Also, Griffin makes great after market high capacity aluminum radiators, a little pricey, but worth the money the event you have to replace the radiator due leaks and corrosion.
