Check or replace the sensor unit in the engine. If that does not solve the problem it could be the guage itself is faulty which might or might not be a easy fix. If it is like most new vehicles the gauges are on a PC board and not seperate which means replacing the whole pc board. If in fact it has sperate gauges you should be able then to just replace the guage if the sending unit does not fix the problem. Another thing to check is the engine thermostat it might be staying open allowing the engine to run cooler then it should.

Im having a coolant problem.got a P1299 code-high temp in cylinder head.Top of radiator not getting hot, like its not circulating???

O.K. STEVE ARINO THIS SHOULD BE A STUCK THERMOSTAT THE ANTIFREEZE COMES BACK TO THE RADIATOR THROUGH THE TOP HOSE SO IF IT IS STUCK THE COOLANT CAN'T GET BACK TO THE RADIATOR AND THE ENGINE IS HEATING UP SO THE FAN GOES ON THE ERADICT GAUGE BEHAVIOR IS ALSO FROM THIS WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS THE WATER PUMP IS ABLE TO PUSH COLDER COOLANT INTO THE ENGINE SAY THE GAUGE IS FEELING THE LOWER TEMPERATURE FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN IT GOES BACK UP TO HIGHER HOTTER THAN HELL GOOD LUCK! Temp gauge is rising at 3/4 of the way even while traveling down the interstate, once a/c was turned off it started to go back down but would still go up if sitting still running, what would cause this?

change the antifreeze and flush your system, its been hot lately so the motor heat goes up too, having the AC on makes the motor work harder, so thats normal that the temp would rise when its on. traveling on the road allows air to help cool the motor, sitting in traffic slows the air, so there again heat will increase

Replaced broken water pump, replaced thermostat, and the temperature gauge consistently sits just below red once it's warmed up. It never seems to go into the red if I'm idling or taking short trips, but...

hi the temp gauge should sit in the lower quarter of the gauge, it has to be a faulty water temp sensor as anything else would cause it to over heat badly

Half sounds normal however if it starts climbing up to 3 quarters then the thermostat is sticking flush radiator coolant and change thermostat

Haw i can fix my fans? they not starting...

It's probably the sensor. Read your manual to find it. If not it's probably the motors which can be replaced much cheaper than the assembly, however you can sometimes get a complete used assembly off Ebay for cheap.
