We had a hyundai once, that stopped and started for no apparent reason , after much looking at and mechanics it turned out to be some butterfly or non return valves leading from the fuel pump to the engine. they were closing up and stopping fuel from passing through , might be the same kind of thing . hope this helps
Have you checked the line from the fuel tank to the pump ? and the fuel filler line , ours was getting a vacuum lock and when we released the petrol cap there was a great whoosh of air . could be the fuel cap sillier things have been known to happen , i,m no mechanic but these things happened in our car
How did you check the butterfly valves ?
