We had a hyundai once, that stopped and started for no apparent reason , after much looking at and mechanics it turned out to be some butterfly or non return valves leading from the fuel pump to the engine. they were closing up and stopping fuel from passing through , might be the same kind of thing . hope this helps

Have you checked the line from the fuel tank to the pump ? and the fuel filler line , ours was getting a vacuum lock and when we released the petrol cap there was a great whoosh of air . could be the fuel cap sillier things have been known to happen , i,m no mechanic but these things happened in our car

Hyundai excel engine keeps stopping

I've heard of an excel with problems with the signal from the computer not keeping the fuel pump on, if I recall, that was on a '91 excel. To check yours, you would need to monitor the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge, when the car was running, and still hooked up when the car strops running. If the pressure drops when the car stalls, you know you have a problem in the fuel pump circuit. The owner of that '91 excel had replaced the computer once, and believed he needed another. Don't know if this is your problem, but a good place to start is with the fuel pressure test, especially right after the car stalls. If it turns out not to be fuel related, then probably something in your ignition.

2003 crown victoria cranks wont start, was running fine, just cut out.never started again

As with any no-start situation, you need to know if you have spark to the plugs, fuel to the injectors, and normal compression to proceed.

My car runs for about an hour then stalls out ive replaced all cooling parts except tempature sensor ive replaced the crankshaft sensor and its still the same does this sensor cause my car to stall if the...

A bad temp sensor will not cause it to stall.

If it just stops while driving I would suspect the ignition coil. Hard to say without looking at it first hand. When it stalls you need to see if the spark plugs are getting fire/sparking or if you have a fuel problem.

I have a 2003 hyundai tiburon that will stall while driving. I can be driving 60 mph and the engine cuts off. no mechanics have been able to find the problem.

Hi
My son has a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT and has had the same exact problems, stalling out at a roll and then it got worse. Sometime it won’t restart for 5 mins.
We did these repairs new spark plugs & wires, New PVC valve because we found oil in the up intake manifold, removed and cleaned the upper intake manifold and throttle body, mass air flow sensor, etc. ran better but not fixed.
Than a few days later it completely died and won’t start. While testing all of the sensor on the throttle body I realized it was cranking fine but it wouldn’t kick over! I checked for spark, It was weird we had no spark at the plug now.
We replaced the whole Ignition coil and the problem was solved, $139.50 at the dealer parts department. We changed it in about one hour. Advance was $165.00 and Auto Zone was $159.00. The dealer was cheaper for once and an exact OEM replacement.
It’s been 2 weeks and the car runs better with more power than it has for awhile. apparently the coil was going bad slowly than dies totally.
That threw us off a bit.
This is the fix but make sure you check to see if you have oil in your upper intake manifold which when is sucked in can cause a stall out.
clean the upper manifold and change the PCV valve.
good luck.

Car stalls

Can be the fuel pressure valve, the engine light comes on? also water on the system, or perhaps fuel filter or spark plugs
