possible ecm reset needed (electronic control module) This is easy to do at home with a pair of visegrips or a wrench set. anyway the idea is to disconnect the car batt for atleast 2-3 minutes and with the key out of the ignition replace the batt terminals and tighten them wait 2-3 minutes and then get in car turn key only to light the dash this is called the post, once the dash has sat in the active position for the time said 2-3 minutes, turn car off remove key replace key and start the car let it run for a min or so and then turn off and exit the car and proceed to activate the alarm if the prob still is there i then suggest an ecm test any mechanic or dealer will test it for a nominal fee, if there is any thing at all not right with the car this test will get to the root. and if the test is showing no problems with the car the issue is most likely in the electronic keychain alarm keylock box
