Question about 1997 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
My radio quit working when I hooked jump box to battery backwards fuse under hood is not blown and the radio is the only thing not working do I have another radio fuse

The "strip" fuse is in a tootsie roll sized black container on the drivers side strut mount. pop it open and there it is. 2 philips screws hold it in place. Breaks in the fuse are not easy to see.

Hi Your S class has two batteries. The smaller one is located in the engine bay, and the bigger one in the boot (trunk). No need to access any of them, simply open the door with key, insert key to start engine, you will notice that not all ignition lights will come on, but the engine WILL start, and the batteries will be recharged after a short while.
