I have a 2003 hyundai santa fe that when you turn the key to the pre start position, a squealing sound occurs in the motor area and the vehicle will not start... Any ideas? Could it be a fuel pump?I changed the crankshaft position sensor as bad wires were showing

try taking a pin and cleaning the holes on the squirters and if that does not work check the washer pump it is located on the washer fluid tank

Start from scratch.
Does the battery have 12 volts across the terminals? If yes, then does the starter click when you turn the key? If no, replace the battery.
If the starter clicks when you turn the key, but the engine doesn't crank, replace the starter.
If no click, then check for power at the starter solenoid.
If there is power at the solenoid, but no click when you turn the key, check the starter relay. If none of this fixes your problem, you may want to have your mechanic check for broken or corroded wires
