Turns over has fuel wont start tried day later starts perfect ran fine for days went to restart in morning same wont start
It sounds like a fuel pump .remove the fuel inspection cap on the fuel rail at the top of the engine and make a pump presser check, must be around 45-65 psi, anything lower means a defected pump.another way
of checking a pump is banging on the fuel tank while having some body cranking the eng. if the eng fires up it means it is a pump.

needs a tune up on plugs wires and maybe coil pack but coil is last resort

I had a similar problem and believe it or not it was the CAT. An easy way to test for this is to remove the O2 sensor right in front of the CAT. Once you removed it, plug it back in while unscrewed from the exhaust pipe and start up the truck. If it runs fine, the CAT is your problem. This is just a guess and it would be an easy and very cheap($0) test. You did not say if the truck was diesel or gas. Mine is gas that was exhibiting the same problem as yours...good luck!

Did you consider putting gas in it?
Did you chek the fuel pump if it works?

The cam or crank position sensors are notorious for failing, after they age and get heat in them the signal is no longer generated. Also make sure fuel lift pump is working properly, check all of the fuel filters and for fuel leaks of any kind including sucking air on the suction side of the lift pump. Good Luck!!

could be the battery, sometimes all the electrical would stay on but the battery doesnt have enough juice to crank the car over, if not check the alternater.
