Is there a transmission fluid dipstick for a 2004 V6 Chev Epica

Is there a dipstick for the transmission fluid in a 2004 Chrevrolet Epica V6? How is the transmission fluid level checked? I have a small leak appearing on the driveway and I think it is tranny fuid. I want to know if the level is low. All other fluids are good. Thanks for your help. I have an Epica but had to select Malibu because Epica wasn't in the drop list for model.

I have a 2007 toyota 4runner V6. I can't find the transmission fluid dipstick

There is no transmission fluid dipstick!! This model- 2007 4Runner does not have one. It has a fill plug on the side of the transmission itself, near the top. Kind of like what a pumpkin rear end has where you fill it to the top of the plug. Same type of thing. The dealer does not want you messing with the transmission at all. My son accidently drained the Tranny fluid, thinking it was the oil plug. They told me to measure exactly how much was drained, and replace that exact amount of fluid into the fill plug. I had to buy a fluid pump!!! They warned to use only their fluid (Which I found is nothing special) and also to make sure that it was filled with the exact amount.

How I check a transmission fluid for Epica 2004.LS

I'm not familiar with that vehicle but some newer models don't have dipsticks to check the transmisson fluid. They are sealed systems and the only wasy to check them is to remove the fill plug from the transmission itself.

Where does the transmission fluid go

Automatic transmission fluid goes into the same tube the transmission dipstick occupies. It's slightly larger than the oil dipstick and is commonly located further back in the engine compartment than the oil dipstick. You should make sure not to overfill the transmission fluid. Add only until it appears between the indicators on the trans. fluid dipstick.

How do you check transmission fluid in 2004 Suzuki Forenza

There is no dipstick to check the automatic transmission fluid in the 2004 Suzuki Forenza. It is checked like a manual transmission. You will have to remove the fill plug underneath the car and then add some new transmission fluid until it drizzels out of the hole.

Where do i put transmission flouid? can't find it

Hello,

Your 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier transmission fluid can be checked by using the dipstick you will see under the hood in the engine compartment.

However,You add fluid directly through the dipstick tube.

General Motors recommends using DEXRON III automatic transmission fluid.

Good luck

How do you check the transmission fluid in a 1998 chevy cavalier. there is no dipstick

you are wrong darcblod,in a 98 model chev.cav.the 2.2 engine is an automatic that was not made with a dipstick.it has instead a "check valve" there is a plug on the side ..remove it and pour your tranny fluid into the "fill" hole until the fluid just barely runs out of the "plug hole" ,replace both the fill cap and check valve plug and you'll be fine...it is important that your car is level and at operating temp......fyi some of the newer fords are like that too.

Checking fluid in transmission

There is no dipstick on a manual transmission. On a manual tranny, you check the fluid by pulling the fill plug on the side of the transmission. The fluid is supposed to be even with the bottom of the fill plug hole. Gently stuck your finger in there and on a fully serviced trans. you will feel the fluid on your finger tip. On an auto transmission the dipstick is on the passenger side near the exhaust manifold close to the firewall. Also you fill the trans thru the dipstick. Make sure you use the proper fluid and the correct amount.22

I have a Cadillac CTS 2004.. 3.6L V6 engine. I need to know if my car has a dipstick? And is it to check the level or just a hole to fill.

I too have the 2004 CTS.
Just today, my dealership checked my transmission fluid level because I have gear noise.

There is NO dipstick!

The car is put up on the hoist with motor running and transmission in neutral.
There is a fill / level check plug located on drivers side of transmission through which the level is checked.
