My A/C doesn't work on my 1999 Toyota Corolla. The light always flashes, and when I push it in to turn on the A/C it stays solid for a second, and maybe puts out a tiny bit of cold air, but then shuts off.
It has never worked since I got it.

To review - the factory VATS security system will not let the engine crank or start if the wrong key is used or there is a problem with the system. So if the engine was cranking the security system was not at fault. You may have to get a used shop manual to get the testing procedures for a no start-stall problem.
If it's a factory alarm then you need to get it disabled by the dealer. if it's an installed alarm you need to unplug the brain/ module and your car should run
if you follow instruction properly than the alarm should work properly, Go over your wiring again 2-3 times make sure it make sense to you with the instructions. If it make sense than take the unit back and get another, can be faulty alarm.
If you put your foot on the brake, the tail lights and parking lights will still come on. Possibly your brake is sticking. Check to see if it is and if it is put WD40 for a quick fix. See a tech for them to fix your brake alignment. Good Luck!
Have a look at your relay and fuses. But you may not apply DIY method because this needs an expert hands-on. Needs to trace where the wires were wrongly connected.
Yes it does, there should be a black small button under the drivers dash .could be hidden so look with a light, once you find it you need to turn your ignition on then turn it off and press the button within 10 seconds the LED should turn off and the alarm should be working normally
I had it recharged, but it still does not work.
