Car will not turn over. when you turn the key the lights come on but it will not turn over turn it back and try again it starts. today I turned the key 10 times nothing happened, popped the hood battery terminal tight no corrosion battery 2 years old it started went out and it started again nor sure what to do... Sounds like the gas presser valve or weak fuel pump. When it dose it again turn the switch on and leave it on for about 3 mins. and see if it will start. If it dose I would say the pump is weak.

Have you checked to see if there is spark at the plugs? If not, simply take out 1 plug (can be any one of them), connect the plug wire to it and just let the threads of the plug rest anywhere on the engine block. Have someone turn the motor over while you are looking at the gap on the spark plug. If your distributor is sending sufficient power, you should see a nice healthy spark! If no spark, then your problem is either bad coil, bad distributor, distributor cap, rotor, or ignition. But first things first, check to see if you are getting spark.
