The automatic climate control unit in my 89 New Yorker is set to Celsius, how do I change it to Fahrenheit?

To change the temperature display from Celsius to Fahrenheit in a 2018 Toyota Camry XLE, follow these steps:

1. Start the car and locate the climate control panel.
2. Press the "Menu" button on the panel.

The dealership can reprogram it with their dealer scan tool computer. Having said that, this says NO! Celsius is so much easier. 0'C is freezing, in the summer with AC you want 19' or 20'. In winter you want 23' or 24'C

Yes, go into your general settings in your radio display and one of the things you can change is the units.

The climate control head defaults to Celsius anytime power is lost (e.g.dead battery). To toggle, hold in the ambient temp button and the cooler temp button at the same time. The temperature scale should switch after a few seconds of holding.

To adjust between Fahrenheit and Celsius, do the following: 1. Press and hold the on/off button for approximately four seconds until either a flashing F or C appears. 2. Press the button again to change the display to the desired unit of measurement. After approximately four seconds of inactivity, the new unit will be locked in and the compass/temperature display will return.

If your temperature reads in climate control reads in degrees Celsius "C" instead of Fahrenheit "F", follow these steps to change to Fahrenheit.

• Turn the ignition on.
• With the climate control turned on, push and hold the recirculation button in. While holding the button in, push and hold the off button in for 3 seconds or until you hear a beep.

The display should then change to "F". Follow these same steps to change your read-out to Celsius , if preferred.

On your DIC (driver information center) to the left you will see 3 buttons arranged vertically.
The ENG/MET button is used to switch between english and metric. Push that button until all displays are in english, that should return your climate control to fahrenheit.

Once you have completed that, push and hold the "reset" button down for 2 seconds ( button just below the ENG/MET button). That should reset you DIC to the default brightness as well as your other displays.
