SOURCE: Looses almost all power going up hills
I strongly suggest you have the catalytic converter checked.. It sounds like it is plugged and when under load would cause loss of power... Here is one way you can check for yourself if it is bad.... Duplicate problem in the evening hour (night Time) when you have duplicated problem(no power) pull over and with vehicle still running put in park and look inder vehicle if catalytic converter is visibly glowing thats your problem....Good Luck
SOURCE: Losing power going over hill
well i think the piston ring are already loose, causing insufficient air compression leading to lower power especially on uphill tracks. check also for the air-fuel ratio! too much fuel usually is the cause for thick smoke emission; too much air, causes also less power.
SOURCE: it loses power on acceleration and serious loss of power on hills
sounds like a clogged fuel filter. you need to have the engine pressure checked for leaks, you can rent the pressure checker at autozone, it connects to ur radiator and u pump pressure into the cooling system if u find water leaking around the head u know u have a blown head gasket. if ok then check the cylinder compression should beable to rent this also. it screws into the spark plug holes has a gauge on it. alternator problem w/ the light is probaly you need to tighten the belt.hope this helps!!!

its case of faulty fuel filter. toyota corolla 2007 recall and many other corolla recalls were related to engine and oil filter along with ECUs and ECMs. just get your ride scaned properly at a reliable dealer.
Can you tell if the transmission comes out of overdrive or downshifts when the speed drops ?
