Recently, my 2002 monte carlo bega shuddering on accelerating between 2,000-2,400 rpm range...... it consistently does this until you push through it or let off the gas.....but doesn't do it all the time.. I decided to manually put it in first first gear and at that specific rpm range it shudders like mad and even pops out the tailpipe..........
i've had multiple people look at it and hook up scanners to no end... have replaced all sorts of things, that "could" be the cause...multiple sensors, tried different gas... full tune up........ NOTHING has fixed it!
and to make matters worse, will not throw a trouble code....HELP!
My monte carlo would hit 2nd gear and bog down and not shift properly until it got to the last gear. I had the catalytic converter replaced and that fixed that problem. (It also created another, but not near as bad)
Had same issues with our 02 Monte idle fine,misses under a load won't throw a code.changed converter and it solved the problems
