96 lincoln town car ac fan doesn't blow

The fan for the heat/ac quit blowing. there is a little air movement but not very much. it has the auto climate control and since we have had the car it has either been high or nothing but now it's always nothing! before it quit working completly it got to where it would only blow through the defrost vents. could it be the switch in the dash? if so how do you replace it

Check the blower motor speed controller which is located in the engine compartment just below where the heater hoses enter the firewall

What could be the problem in 89 Lincoln town car if ac blow hot air when accelerating but when ideling or less then 46 mph blows cold?

I'm no expert when it comes to your vehicle. However it sounds to me as though there may be a vacuum leak somewhere causing the HVAC door that controls the AC/heat to be faulting to the 'hot' side.

Drive the car up to 55 MPH with the AC on. Making sure there is no vehicles close behind you, completely let off the gas pedal and see if it starts blowing cold air right after letting off the throttle. If it blows cold, then it's probably a vacuum leak.

If it doesn't blow cold then it could simply be low on freon or a partially clogged filter in the AC line.

Hope this helps.

My 1996 Lincoln Town car heater works but you cannot control the temperature and the air conditioner blows out hot air when turned on.What could be the cause of this problem?

To fix the AC unit which blows hot air all the time. Seems like you have a small leak in the system or the AC compressor has gone out. Suggest you try recharging the unit. Make sure you have the correct R-22 or 134A freeon. If this work for a few days then have the leak fixed, if this doesn't work replace the compressor. Check Ebay for the compressor i obtained one for $100.00. Cost $450 at Auto Zone.

Air only blows hot on 96 lincoln

Sounds like the heater and a/c blend door actuator. It is located under front center of dash below windshield. Dash must be removed to replace it. I've done it several times.

99 town car climate fan problem

A common Ford/Lincoln problem it's the blower motor resistor. They're not very expensive and aren't too difficult to install. I hope this answers your question.
