SOURCE: water leak

Water leak test the windshield . Carpet should be removed and dried out, Replace matting if necessary, because it will NEVER dry. Look by front firewall floor for drippage. Windshield moldings must be removed if resealing is nec, and be sure to use a neoprene water resistant windshield sealer. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Leak into passenger footwell (LHS) on Renault Scenic RX4

It sounds like you may have a blocked drain in the evaporator box. This is where the heater core and evaporator are located.

If you look under the vehicle about where the heater is located, you should see a small tube sticking down ( plastic or rubber ) this should be he drain.

You can squeese the tube open and see if it will drain, If not it may be clogged up with dirt and debris that may require the box to be removed and cleaned.

Check the air inlet, usually located in front of the windsheild, just under the wipers for debris. Keep this area clear. If it has a lot of leaves or other things around it, it can cause water to build up and flood the evaporator box, as well as get down inside.

You may need to take this to a shop that can put it on a lift and get at the drain from the underside, they may be able to clear it without too much troble

SOURCE: 2001 Volvo V70 with sun roof...car sitting in

Not familiar with the Volvo, but many cars (Toyota, Lexus, Acura, Honda, etc.) have drain holes at the corners of the sun roof assembly. These holes allow water that gets past the sunroof gasket to drain through tubes that carry the water to the bottom of the car, where it exits the car.

These drain holes are prone to clogging. If the Volvo setup is like those cars mentioned, you can see the front drain holes by opening the sunroof and looking closely at the two front corners of the assembly that holds the sunroof. I have used plastic weedeater line to open up these lines. Compressed air can also be used.

SOURCE: blower not working audi a3

Hi these could be unrelated, firstly check the heater blower fuse I had an A4 and the fuse had melted stopping the blowers from working, Im assuming yours is the digital type? anyhow if its not the fuse then Im afraid you have a more seriuos problem with the water on the floor it sounds like the heater matrix has burst this is the small radiator behind the dash that circulates the hot water for the fan to blow in. Although the water could be coming in from under the bonnet this is common on vw/audi's just under the windowscreen with the bonnet open below the wipers you will be able to see down into skuttle panel they sometimes get clogged up stopping the water from running off, and into the car instead there is small drain holes you will be able to see upon inspection leafs and muck normally clog them up.

If it is the heater matrix then it will be quite expensive!

Regards

Dan

Kia Picanto Zappa 2007 water getting in

Once you have checked it isn't a car window that is slightly open there is three main reason for water in the foot wells. Sun roof, door seals and heater matrix.
If you have a sun roof fitted, check it is closed correctly. Open it all the way and check the running grooves it sits in for dirt and blockages. There are drain holes in the runners so try cleaning the runner grooves with an old toothbrush.
Open the front door on that side of the vehicle. Take a good look at the rubber seal the door presses against when it is closed. Any damage or splits can create leaks into the vehicle. Check the rear door seal for the same thing. If you can, check all the other door seals and the trunk/boot seal as well. These seals are usually a tight fitting 'push on' type which you can replace yourself.
This will sound silly but does the 'water' smell of anything? The heater matrix is under dashboard and is what supplies the heat to the heater blower controls on the dashboard. If this is leaking the leak will have a sweet smell as this is coolant from the engine. This is a big repair as you often have to remove the whole dash to repair it.

Ford focus 2007 water leaking in firewall area.

Best I can do is make sure your wiper cowl is free of debris leaves and such. Possible water backing up from that and leaking into the car.

Front windshield is leaking above passenger side

so if i were you i would be checking drain plug or drain opening in front of wind shield. probably it is under plastic grill next to wipers. it transfers the collected rain water infront of windshield and direct it to ground. if it is clogged flooded water can drain into cabin.

WHITE SMOKE, ENGINE NOT WORK

White smoke means you're vaporizing water. It could be a culmination of things.

1. You've got coolant leaking through your headgasket
2. You've managed to get water in your exhaust through condensation or rain.

When you say it doesn't start what to you mean? It just churns and churns or it doesn't crank.

If it's not cranking at all you may have hydrolocked the engine or simple have a dead battery. Parking down slope can causes water to run into the engine bay. Usually your rubber liners will channel water away from critical components but you do have your major electrical and ECU located in the top left portion of your engine bay. This sits right next tot he windshield and having heavy rains with your car parked down slope will channel alot of water into this area.

Was your passenger footwell damp? The ECU has a firewall gromet that runs to the passenger footwell. Water may drain through this point if it manages to make it's way into the cavity of the ecu bay.

all in all, let the car dry out, give it a go again. Keep your senses at peak, listen for odd sounds, try to get a whiff of that white smoke, check for coolant odor and be prepared to stop if something isn't right. Don't risk a major problem just because you don't want to give up trying to identify a smaller one. It just gets more expensive.

Hope this help.

Leaking inside the car everytime it rains

There is probably a drainage hole underneath the cowling under your windshield wipers. They're supposed to allow the water to drain out into the wheel well. See if the passengers side is plugged up. Collected water has to go somewhere and it will always find a place.

Leaks on inside Toyota Corrolla on the passenger side

It could be water condensing from the A/C and dripping onto the passenger rug. Check under the passenger side dashboard, above the footwell, for the drain pipe from the A/C. If it's loose the water may leak into the footwell when the A/C is running. Should be reasonably easy to fix.

Blower motor goes out every so often? Design flaw connected to the wiper motor???

could be that when it rains or is wet out that water is leaking into your car under the hood under the vent by the windshield wipers on the passenger side and instead of being filtered out its going into the car on the passenger side floor. (check to see if this is wet after a heavy rainfall) and causing a short and rusting it out. this happened with my 2002 grand prix just this year. I got a water resistor for like $3.50 from a local pontiac dealership/parts store and put it in. Its easy to install and it poured out today and my car didnt leak at all.
