There is bubbling on my fx35 dashboard. I have no idea what is the reason of the problem. I recently bought the car. I'm so stressful with that bubbling. I thought I could resove the problem easily but dealer said I need to replace it. However it's so expensive. Do you have any idea to fix the problem?
Thank you!

Hi Kerry Coolant will bubble for many reasons, you need to get it checked by a mechanic who is able to run a few tests on your cooling system.
It may be a minor issue or something quite major.
Coolant will get hot naturally when engine is running and you may notice some bubbling if your vehicle is fitted with an expansion tank if it's minor bubbles this may be quite normal. If the bubbling is in excess it may be a circulation problem, this may be air in system( may require bleeding). There could be a blockage, water pump malfunction or thermostat fault . It may even be a faulty radiator/expansion tank pressure cap fault or even loose allowing pressure to escape. If you have the cap off and its now you see the bubbling this would be quite normal as most systems should be sealed. The cooling fan or fans may not be working.
A major issue would be a head gasket fault or even a cracked cylinder head or block.
As you can see there are many reasons, this is why it would be advisable to get a qualified mechanic or dealer to check this out for you. Good luck
Sounds to me like you've got to open your heater control to full hot and allow the coolant to circulate. You may have some trapped air in the system. In the past, I've even "bounced" the car a little to help speed the process. Check coolant level before and after. Let me know how this works out.
I assume the coolant is not actually boiling and that the coolant is bubbling even when the engine is relatively cold. If so this would indicate a blown head gasket. Exhaust gases are escaping from a cylinder into the coolant passageways at the head gasket junction
Recalls are only for issues items that are considered to be able to cause bodily harm / life threatening. A warped dashboard won't qualify. One way you can see if you can get this fixed for free is to look up the consumer protection laws and go from there
There was an earlier post with same problem and dealer chg him 200 to replace. I will also check on this, it sounds reasonable. I wonder which dealer he went to. I am in Houston.
2004 Infiniti FX35 dash board may be mfg issue for Infiniti and you may look to them to solve the problem. I had the problem and they covered the dash part at 100%. I had to pay labor. Wound up at about $200. I had 84,000 miles on the car and outside warranty by over 15 months. Tells me they recognize an issue and will stand behind it. Be pleasant at dealer but insist they request support.
