The coolant leak could be a blown head gasket. And the not going over 30 MPH could be from the catalytic converter being clogged. Do a compression test for the head gasket, and remove the O2 sensor from the exhaust and drive with the exhaust leaking out the hole. If the lower back pressure allows the car to go over 30 MPH then you know the cat. is clogged.

Sounds like your TPS (throttle position sensor), or MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor has gone caflooey.

Check your car's OBD-II computer code(s), by going to Meineke Muffler, or PepBoys/Advance Auto
Parts for a free "Check Engine Light" diagnostic - they'll tell you the Error codes being posted by your car's computer.

1995 jeep grand cheerokee laredo 6 cyl. randomly dies then takes anywhere from five minutes to hours to restart

The only component I know of, that shuts a Jeep off while idling or driving 40mph down the road, is a bad crank sensor. Usually when it starts going bad, it will sporadically shut off, like yours does. Eventually, it will just die and the Jeep will not start at all. Have it tested and replaced, if necessary.

2004 freelander hse erratic idle in park, fine in drive

Do you know what engine scan data is ? Disconnecting sensors is not the way to find a problem ! What is the computer seeing as data input signals . Is the vehicle in closed loop fuel control , is the EGR opening when it shouldn't be , Is the PCM controlling the idle air control valve or is the vehicle drive by wire (electronic throttle control ?
