SOURCE: geargox for mk 4 1.8 gti

The way to find this out is simple, on the housing of the trans there is a code, a serial number, that will tell you what type of gearbox is required for this model.

Hi There My indicators on my 1400 citi golf MK 1 is flashing on the inside but not working on the outside. fuses are okay hope you can help Regards Donovan

Turn your hazard lights on and check all of the indicator bulbs. Are the indicators inside flashing faster? Are the outside bulbs all off? Are they all on but not flashing?
Try replacing the flasher relay? They can fail or only work some of the time. They are the large plastic blocks in the fuse box next to the fuses. Which one it is will depend on the year your golf was built.

How to replace temperature sensor in vW golf citi 1.4i 2006

I am driving VW Citi golf sport 1.4i,every morning whn is cold my car couldn't start, after many attempts it would and when I try to accelerate it will choke. After buying the temperature sensor my problem was solved. the mechanics advised me to buy petrol filter and petrol gauge regulator and a petrol pump, thanks I didn't buy them. Only a temperature sensor made my car a comfortable drive.

MY VW CITI CHICO 2001 1.4i temperature guage faulty?

good chance you t-stat is stuck open that will cause the temp gauge to not get all the way to normal operating temp. also e.c.t can cause this problem. good luck hope that helps. to bridge your connector it will not really tell you to much if you take a multi meter and check the green wire and put the other wire to ground you can see the signal voltage less then 6v

Radiator fan not cuting in

if you make the contacts on the plug that connects to the thermo switch, does the fan work (both speeds?)?

if not, then it could be the fan control module or a fuse on there.

2004 Golf

Hi, I doubt it will help as mine was a 1993 Mk 3. Your 2004 model could be a Mk 4 or a Mk 5, and they will certainly be different from mine, and probably from each other. Have you checked the inside of the fuse box lid for info - it might be there...
Hope this helps, D.
