I have a 1989 305 engine that i put in a 1980 truck and i don't want to use the computer so i need to know what i need to do to convert the throttle body carb to a regular 4 barrel carb i have already changed the distributar.
You can buy an itake to convert it you dont need to change the heads the 4 center bolts have just a slightly differant angle then change the distributar slap a carb on and put an inline fuel pump and your good to go
Change the intake manifold, but match them up closely because the pitch changed a little where it bolts up to the head.worst case is to change the heads to older ones
I have a 1988 Chevy 1 ton truck with the 350 motor. I have had so many problems with the throttle body, wanting to change it carb. What all is involved with doing this. I am not willing or have the money to buy a new throttle body, this truck has cost me so much money I am about done with it. Or where can I buy a rebuild throttle body for it, The town I live in has noting, and no one here will work on the TB Thanks Becky

I think you would have to change the intake manifold, and i don't think the bolt holes are the same. So then, you'd have to change heads. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i seem to remember trying that once.
what about the wires to the throttle body
