How do I bleed a power steering pump on a Grand Prix

it could still be the pump is it making a whining noise,and does the fluid smell really burnt.jack the car up and put it on jack stands set the e-brake and chock the rear tires so it can not roll,then start the car and see if there is any binding the the steering rack if there is you will notice a small jump to the rack as the wheel is turned,or a shifting on the mounting bolts that hold the rack to the cross member.If the car goes down the road fine with out a bunch of shacking or wobbling then I think I would replace the pump and have the system thoroughly flushed.I hope this helps

You should add it to the power steering pump reservoir, which if you have the 3800 series II its behind the engine on the passenger side.

first you have to remove the serpentine belt then take off the pump..

no you have to go thru the holes in the front of the power steering pulley. Usually a ratchet with a deep 13mm socket will do to remove the 2 bolts located at 12 and 6 o'clock then you will be able to move it out of the way

Power Steering Pump Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the accessory drive belt.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
4. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.
5. Disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering pump.
6. Disconnect the harness connector (4) from the power steering pump (1).
7. Remove the power steering mounting bolts from the power steering pump.
8. Remove the power steering pump from the engine.
9. Remove the power steering pump pulley from the power steering pump.
10. Remove the power steering pump reservoir from the power steering pump.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the power steering pump reservoir to the power steering pump.
2. Install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump.
3. Position the power steering pump to the engine.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
5. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.
6. Connect the power steering return hose to the power steering pump.
7. Install the harness connector (1) to the power steering pump (4).
8. Install the accessory drive belt.
9. Fill the power steering system with fluid.
10. Bleed the power steering system.
11. Operate the power steering system and inspect for power steering system leaks.
