I have a 1998 buick park ave ultra and the driver side air blows heat and the pass side blows cold

assuming you have an electronic controlled (digital) dual zone system, it is most likely your heater blend door motor has failed, check and see which side is operating and buy the one you need and replace, it has 2 or 3 screws on the side, i think size is 4.5 mm or 5.5 mm and you have to take off lower plastic cover under dash and remove screws which go on horizontally... install heater door with temp swithched to the middle, move door to middle, if not you need to place new motor into plug before installing and turn temp to cold, then turn by hand the white blend door tube to match motor then install... make sure you turn off ignition when working,,,

U need to replace the air temperature control blend door actuator motor, this requires removing the dash to access the motor for the blend door.

1998 buick park avenue drivers side blows cold, passenger side hot

sounds like the drivers temp door actuator is not working should be located on the drivers side of the air box down by the gas pedal or center dash area
