The anti-theft module in the car is probably doing this because it is detecting an unusual condition (logic behind this is a bit obtuse). You may be able to check this by looking at trouble codes (DTCs) using a good code reader; otherwise you are going to need a dealer's help. I assume you can shut off the horn with the remote?
This may be related to the antitheft system The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY? This is a common problem worth looking into. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/
It sounds like the only thing it could be is the security system.. ive had it happen.. cost to much for a mechanic to fix it so I looked around and found this module that will bypass it and allow your car to start...u can do it yourself.. I duno check out this page it explains it better than I can.. your car is on the list for this..hope it helps ya
thanks
the common system problem look like the headlights switch
and cluster back bulbs .... remove front panel cluster and remove headlight switch look for burn wire or connector terminal. test light
fuses all
hope it helps
The fuse or switch would be up under the dash panel on drivers side. Or follow your horn wiring and it will lead you to security system main control box.
Pass key is the security system which disables the car if it is stolen. You need the remote or a key with a chip to start the car. go to a dealer, prove ownership with registration and they will be able to help you out
Any chance your vehicles have a security/alarm system. Disconnecting battery on some, will arm it sometimes & not allow it to run. Using key to unlock door, on driver & passenger side have been known to work on some vehicles, but if not, a call to dealer should help.
Sounds like passlock security failure.Park neatral swith located at top af transmission where shifter cable connects to trans, should be on drivers side.
