1997 vw jetta stalls after running or driving for 30 mins

I just bought a 1997 VW Jetta and i was driving it home and it was running fine. I stopped and got gas and as i was pulling out of the gas station, the rpms started goin up and down until it stalled out. If i gave it gas it just stalled. When i got it home we let it idle for like 35 mins and it started doing it and then stalled...it will start right back up but it will stall back out after a few mins. Any clue of what's wrong?

check fuel rail pressure with a gage from renting from auto shop shold hold 30 PSI for 60 seconds if not replace fuel pump.

volks 2001 1.8 T wolfsburgh . overheats to dangerous levels just after 2-3 min. of driving . let it cooldown an hour , drove again same thing 2-3 min. noticed fans not working , tried to crank the heaters inside , mostly cold air come in. easy fix or not?

How to install a bov on a 2000-2004 vw jetta
It is not wise to install a BOV on a 1.8t since it could cause problems with stalling in between shifts if it is vented to the atmosphere. The most recommended aftermarket solution is a new diverter valve (ex: Baileys, APR etc). If you still want to install the BOV they sell kits for the ssqv that mounts it to the charge pipe and routes the air back to the intake.

2003 VW Jetta TDI Check Engine Light Issue
Try disconnecting the battery (unhook on of the terminals) wait for like 15 mins, hook the terminal once again and start the car. I also own a 2003 Jetta and once my engine light would come on after 2 mins of driving. Disconnecting the battery is like resetting the computer and hopefully the sensor.

1999 vw jetta gl new body style battery warning light problem.
its possibly your alt. not maintaining a charge on the battery. go to a shop or parts store that test that item, and see were it leads. I hope this helps.

Jetta v6 lurching and almost stalling
When something in the car's faulty and a sensor picks it up and tells the computer, the computer will cause the car to do exactly that. Could be anything, from a damaged air intake sensor to the breaks.

Have your car connected to a computer and let the computer do the talking for you.
