On my megane 1.4 dci on the dash it has came up injection fault n the red stop light has come up as well and will not start..... It has been having intermittent power loss blips at around 2000 revs. Have you any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it??

SOURCE: diesel fuel injection fault

Black smoke usually means a fuel problem, try changing the fuel filter and get an injector cleaner from tesco's or asda they're about £3 to£5, if your gonna change your fuel filter you might as well change the oil and filter and the air filter at the same time

What are the fault codes. Also it is still missing when you rev it up, the increased engine speed masks the missfire.

probally be a good idea to have a local shop run a fuel system check to eliminate alot of wasted time or money. its well worth the time to have it properly checked by a trained mechanic. alot of engine problems the computer picks up wont be noticed at first and can lead to expensive repairs

Fuel injector cleaner may help your car after it gets started and you have fuel pressure established, but it won't help a car that won't start.the prob might be the starter or the battery
