Do you mean runs rough (not rough ride) then bogs down (loses power) and then dies?

How long does it run well after it dies and you restart it and how long in between dieing and starting?

P0340 is the cam shaft sensor, this will cause it to cut off while driving, hardtime starting, p0351 is the ignition coil A primary/secondary curcuit mal function. p1391 is ignition system misfire, this could be plugs, wires, or coils. first of all have the cam sensor changed and it may correct the rest of the codes. when fixed turn light off with obd2 scanner. if you do not have one, then any auto parts store will erase the codes fo free of charge.

I do not know what the error codes mean but know that When I has the sme problem with my jeep it was the fuel pump. What happens is when it heats up it es less and less fuel and chokes the engine. When cold it runs better. remember gas in the tank helps cool the pump but sounds like your pump needs replacing as it is starting to give out.

My 1997 Jeep grand cherokee is running real rough when I accelerate. Now while driving it it keeps stopping but will start right back up? help???

check the cables of the spark plugs, some times it occurs that the cables get loose from its plastic retainers and touch any metal in the engine, causing missfire of the related spark plug, hence rough running of the engine. Put all cables on the retainers making sure none touches the bare metal of the engine. That should help.

The miss, does not just come and go,if it is a engine valve, replace the coil and boot,go from there,if this does not solve the problem, then the injector is gone out,or going out.If it is a engine valve, the miss would never get better, then worse,it would be the same all the time, get him to run a air compression test, get the valves up(close)and see if any air is detected threw the exhaust,or the intake,it will be present if the valve is the problem.

OK...if someone gives me a bad rating on this, I'll be really annoyed...
saw off the "fixed" hold-down on the distributor and use a chevrolet smallblock hold-down. Once re-installed turn distributor ccw about 1/4" or slightly more. If I'm correct, engine should run fine after that.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalls when brakes are applied

My 2000 Grand Cherokee had the same problem, without all the sputtering, it would just die approaching a stop. We could only keep it running by slightly pushing down on the gas petal when coming to a stop. I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor, but that didn't change anything. A new mechanic I found replaced the Idle Air Control Valve, and we've had no problems in a week.
