1994 Lexus SC400 Can anyone confirm that this car has a Factory AntiTheft system where as the radio is protected from Theft - (Radio will not turn on if Battery Power is removed from the car)?

Many a time's radio asks for the code after car battery is disconnected.

On some cases to retrieve the code its mentioned in manual or else car dealer is other option to get car radio code.

2004 Dodge stratus radio wont work

It can be radio not getting power or issue with radio code and it needs programming.

To reprogram the radio there is 4 digit code. That code has to be inserted, once these code is inserted, your car radio will get into its actual setting where you can set/select your radio setting.

How do you change a transmission?

Every car is different. I suggest going to autozone and buying the manual for your car and going thru the transmission section. It is not an easy task, messy and time consuming. Always drain the trans first by removing and reinstalling the trans pan to not get a trans fluid bath.

How do you get the stock radio deck out of a 1991 buick park avenue?

*It's a bit tricky but not difficult, if you know how the dash in the Park Avenue is put together. But before you do anything, safety first. *Disconnect the negative cable from the battery before doing any electrical work on a car. This prevents shorting out your cars electrical system.

*If you own the 90 -91 Park Avenue model, simply pull off the decorative trim away from the radio to expose the torq screws that hold the radio into the dash. You will need a torq screwdriver of the right size to remove the radio.
Available from your local autoparts store.

*If you own the 91-92 model, it's a whole different ball game. This since the dash is much more tightly compacted. It's a combination of a snap together assembly and Torq screws. The dash is held together in columns or sections.

*The torq screws on these models are hidden behind the heater vents in the upper dash. First pry the wooden trim (Which surrounds the climate control module) on the bottom of the dash off, gently but firmly until it comes free, exposing the Torq screws on the lower dash. Remove the heater vents (hiding the upper screws ) by popping them out with a straight blade screw driver. Then remove all Torq screws visible to the eye, only from the column that is holding is holding the radio in place.

*You will then be able to remove the black colored plastic off the dash to expose the radio. (Use care when removing the lower dash column as some climate control and airbag sensors might be embedded).

*Remove all Torq screws holding the radio in place, (and keep track of all screws) pull the radio out of the dash, and disconnect electrical connectors. If you'll be replacing the stock radio with a non factory radio, make sure all electrical connection watch up, since security feature in the radio are integrated into the radio. (some of these effect basic function on your vehicle like the headlights) If you will be reinstalling the stock radio, you will have to have it unlocked by the dealership. The DelcoLoc system will now think the radio is stolen, because of it's internal security features. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Hope this helps.

How do I remove the radio on a 1987 Honda Accord LXi

Radio & Tape Player
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. If so equipped, disable the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
  2. Remove the floor console and the front console panel. On 1984-85 cars, if access to the back of the radio may be gained through other means, such as removing the "pocket" from the console, the console need not be removed.

Radio mounting on 1986-89 Accords

  1. Remove the ashtray and ashtray holder.
  1. On 1986-89 cars:
  2. Remove the coin box, air vents and ashtray lighting bracket.
  3. Remove the dashboard switches on the left and right of the steering wheel.
  4. Lower the steering wheel to its lowest position. Remove the dash visor. This is a large, one-piece assembly which includes the center dash trim. It's plastic; don't break it.
  5. Remove the two screws holding the radio at the rear of the unit.
  6. Carefully push the unit out the front of the dash. When access is gained, disconnect the multi-pin connector and the antenna cable from the unit. Remove the unit.
  7. Reinstall in the reverse order. Take great care not to damage the dash trim and instrument visor. Make certain the connectors are firmly and squarely installed. If applicable, be sure to enable the SRS.

Chevrolet S10

Well,it depends on the facilities you have to work with.Hand tools versus air tools.Professional car hoist,or jackstands and a floor jack. You also did not specify 2wd or 4wd,as a 4wd has 2 driveshafts versus one for a 2wd...etc.You also didn't specify automatic or manual trans.Generally speaking, with the facilities i have at work, and air tools, transmission jack, etc. For a 2wd truck, about 1- 2 hours to remove, and 2-3 hours to reinstall. For a 4wd truck, about 2-3 hours to remove, and 3-4 hours to reinstall. Now that's presuming the truck is from down south and not all rusted up,because rusted bolts adds considerably to labor times, and makes a set of torches mandatory. These times i have quoted are coming from an older man that's slowing down some.In my prime years,i could remove a 2wd trans from your truck in about 30 minutes,so,the time is relative to ability too.
