First push the setup button on the MMI control, and push the MMI button that corresponds to the word "settings" on the screen, and pick "time," push the master control to enter that mode, then turn the knob to change the time. Be sure to back out of the sequence properly or the clock reverts to the previous setting.

SOURCE: audi a6 stereo on safe how do i fix it

Enter the radio code, take your car to the dealership with proof of ownership and they can get it for you, you should have it from the previous owner or if you bought it new, to enter it, hold the pscan and rbds buttons for a few seconds, then numbers will show up, press the corresponding buttons to change the numbers, when you have your code in, hold pscan and rbds buttons for a few seconds. when you release the radio should unlock, good luck

SOURCE: How To Change Rear Brake Pads on Audi A6 2006

Remove the tires, Remove the calaper bolts, (small heads on them 12mm or so) Remove calaper, Pads are setting in a holder. Lube new pads with litheum grease and place in holder. (look at old pads, one or both may have small metel tab on one end) If the new pads have the tab, put that pad where the old pad with the tab was. (ie. tab to the inside) Press pistion in with a 'C' clamp. If it won't go in easly, it may screw in. If the parking brake cable is hooked to the calaper, it probly screws in. Use large pliers to screw in calaper piston. Place calaper over pads and install bolts (lube bolts) Rember to pump brakes befor driving . to get a solid peddle.

I've been having this problem also. I took it to the dealer and they had to load a new update for the mmi system. Luckily mine is covered under warranty.

The other solution is to turn the car off and disconect the car battery for 10 minutes-and then the mmi will reset itself. The problem, however, is that the issue will probably happen again.

Hi my MMI system on 2004 A6 asgone dead, no power

No solution, same problem, but had many strange moments: 4 months ago during 100 kms or so it stopped, then suddenly came back, and worked ever since. A few days ago, it started happening again: NAV stuck, then radio dead, and gradually the rest disappeared. I did a Reset, and since that moment I see the intro-screen and then it goes black. Hitting the TEL button is somehow also a Reset...

Do the previous 2 posters have anything to report on this matter? It would be VERY welcome!

Thanks,
Jeff

The speakers in my Audi A6 just stopped working. The radio, phone and sat nav audio is not coming through. I can see that each function is working without any sound. The confusing thing is that it was...

I had this problem as well. Turns out there is a Technical Service Bulletin involving a leak in the rear window washer fluid line. It leaks at the rear door hinge (left) and that washer fluid runs down onto the radio stack in the Left Hand wheel-well compartment. It shorts out the system until it dries. My dealer fixed / replaced the hose at his expense. Haven't had the problem since.

How do you turn the sound on if mute is on MMI sound system?

Depress the volume bottom or rotate the volume knob. When on a Bluetooth phone call, the speaker symbol will mute, but unmute when the call ends. Either rolling the right steering wheel scroll or the volume button on the shifter area will should unmute the radio volume.
