Hi,
I have 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara 4 doors 6V Vibrate and shake at 55-70 mph. I have changed the following:
- New tires
- Front wheel Baring (both sides)
- Engine and transmission mount
- Front Shaft bearing
- Shaft joint
- New breaks pads
- Bar bushing
- Wheel balanced more then once
- Wheel alignment performed more then once
-
And the problem did not go a way. This is not during breaking this only at speed 55 – 70 mph.
Thank you.
Best to stimulate driving conditions, perform this test with the vehicle weight on axles, place axle stands under outboard axle support..
Performing this test with the wheels hanging changes the driveshaft geometry..

Lift the back of your car. With a stable rest and with the two hind wheels hanging, run your car up to the speed where you experienced vibration. have someone take care of the throttle and shifting while you observe the transmission shaft. You may have an imbalanced shaft.
