Looks like the ignition barrel and key have been changed , the alarm siren is loose in the boot . Throttle pedal has been changed and still shows same faults Not sure if the ignition barrel was changed correctly I've seen other sites that suggest swapping the ECU, controle module , siren , clocks and ignition and keys Have been told that if you need to change ignition all of the above needs changing also !!!!!! Is this true ? Or just another way of trying out different problems

check timing, see if belt may have slipped out of timing, and need pressure tester to test pressure where the fuel goes into the fuel filter. check for vaccuum leaks.

The TDI.s are known for carbon build up in the egr cooler and intake manifold. Ive seen them so built up that you couldnt fit a pencil into the intake! Its a few hours of labor to get all the carbon out of there but the van will run like it used to! Book time is like 3 hrs to do it but well worth it. after its done youll agree! Ive been a ve audi tech for 10+ yrs. Ive done this procedure many times. Its easy to pull the throttle body off an have a look in the intake to see how bad it is. only takes 25 min or so.

disconnect the battery for 1 minute and try again -
---quick fix possible with that---
if that makes no difference then I would like to know exactly what model of alarm and immobiliser the car has - what is the maker + model no/serialno of the keyfob for the alarm, I can get the info I need off that.
also you can check the fuse in the alarm if you know where the alarm is situated, it will have a fuse either on an inline fulseholder on as a spade fuse stuck into its casing somewhere - replace the fuse if blown and try again to start the car
------------
tell me the model no of your alarm and immobiliser if no joy after battery/fuses and I can read up on them and see if I can fix your problem...
