I was told that I need to replace both inner tie rods on my 2005 Silverado crew cab. I wanted to do this myself but am I looking at as far as the actual process?
Undo bolts on inner and outer tie rods,u might need balljoint fork separator or 2 jaw puller to take them off of relay rod and steering knuckle, measure lenght of tie rod, loosen tube clamp and undo tie rod from tube, when installing make sure lenght is the same as before or wheel alignment will be off!
If you do not have a ball joint seperator you can hit the spindle where the tie rod end goes into to help pop the tapered shaft out. Also I recommend an aignment after, this will be cheap insurance for long tire life
