if your engine is AMC I6 high output version, it may wont fit without doing small modifications. if it is not high output version it will. transfer case differs model to model. np242 selectrac and np231command trac. they have little difference on 4wd systems. all have 2wd option.
actually it is supposed to have same transmission versions between 1988 to 2001. Aisin-Warner AW4.
Should only be 1 or 2 cases that fit behind the v8. It is going to be determined by if you have auto 4WD, or manual. Gear ratios should be similar between the 2.
Hey there..my name is Keith..and in your transmission..there is a parking cog..and its not in your transfer case..and either its wore out..or you vehicle needs some shift linkage adjustment..or the linkage has gotten bent from 4 wheeling..and i hope this helps..if not..please write back

46RH: The 46RH four speed automatic transmission was used in 1993 to 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokees with 5.2L engines.
I got a used transfer case for 75 bucks....but good luck pulling the transfer case.....there are a couple of bolts on the top connecting it to the tranny and all i can say about those is good luck
