You should check all wires and connections as well make sure all bulbs are not burnt out. Check all your fuses as well. If you had one wire fried you could have others the same way.
the feed wire for the switch will run through a ignition feed supply via the fuse box that i can tell you but where and what fuse i have no idea without a nice play and my greasy hands under the bonnet
