2001 crown vic keeps burning 30A PCM relay fuse

Crown vic keeps burning #12 PCM power relay fuse, the car turns on but within a couple of minutes it burns the fuse and the car shut off and won't turn back on. we think there might be a short somewhere but have not be able to locate it.Could it be something else, a coil perhaps?

Was burning out #1 (of 8) ignition coil... new coil burns out again in less than 5 minutes running... will check sparkplug condition to see if damaged... see if getting sparking current or steady current... I replaced the 30 amp fuse with a 30 amp auto-resetting mini circuit breaker while diagnosing... the circuit breaker never popped as far as I know, but two ignition coils on same cylinder burned up...

Crown vic 2000 wont crank ? battery, alternator, starter, starter relay all good ?

The problem is in the wiring harness, yes the battery and starter is good, the harness you repaired is the PRNDL. for the starter to start it need a path when the vehicle is Park or Nuetral, there the path is closed some how by Park and Nuetral the path is open.Thats why there is a no start.when in park or nuetral the path is closed.

'99 Ford Crown Vic LX: #12 30A Maxi fuse blows seconds after starting or ignition turned on.

i had this problem with my 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo with the brake lights it kept popping fuses right after the ignition was turned on try putting a higher amp fuse in place of the old one that keeps blowing then check for shorts to the starter and check grounds and wires and also the transmission issue check the fluid and then if the fluid is fine change the transmission filter the filter may have not gotten replaced when the transmission was rebuilt and may be clogged or dirty
