Check for power at the socket. If you have power there bulb is not making good contact.

this sounds like a problem with the Hi/Lo switch. I think yours is down the column--you pull on the wand and a rod down the column clicks the switch, right? Pull the connector off the switch and check continuity in the switch with an ohmmeter. 2 terminals should have continuity in one position, and when clicked, 2 different terminals should have continuity. Please let me know if this isn't it or you have more questions. My second guess would be the headlight switch itself. The Hi/Lo switch looks like this:

first off, be sure your low beams aren't both burned out. it happens all the time. next check your dimmer switch operation. (i'm betting on low beams burned out) good luck.

It's the headlamp relay #46. If you want to test it, swap it out with the cooling fan relay #45 and see if your headlights work. If they do you know this is the fix. Found the solution online a couple of years ago and it was spot-on. The part was $45 at autozone at the time.

High beam headlights stuck on replaced switch same problem

It can be issue with headlight switch, but as its already been replaced.Try disconnecting high beam headlight wiring from headlight assembly and reconnect direct external wire from headlight switch to headlight assembly, then by switch see if headlight is getting off and turning on or not.

Right headlight low beam does not work, high beam does. Left side headlight works fine

I had the same problem with my 2004 ram, passenger side low-beam wouldn't work after replacement. Online I saw many things from socket replacement to Fcm replacement. What worked was to remove fcm (front control module) and clean appropriate contacts with small nail file . Repair took less than 1 hour and cost 0$, wish I could give credit where I found info.

Low beams stopped working high beams work fine

Either both bulbs are bad(I've seen it before) or your
dimmer/headlight switch is bad. If you can without pulling the bulb, pull plug from the light. If it's a 4 lamp system pull the low beam. Do this on the left side as the right feeds from the left. With a 12v test light, check for power. (with lo beam on) if you have
power, change the lamp, if you don't it's most likly
the dimmer switch at the steering collum.
Hope this helps Good luck

2008 gmc truck, Low beams quit working. I have High beams and running lights only

It's probably unlikely that both bulbs would go out at the same time, but the first thing I would do is replace at least one of the bulbs with a new bulb.

If that's not the problem, there is a problem with the electrical circuit. There are relays that control the headlights, and the switch itself could have gone bad.
